The Sundowners (1950)

A cattlemen brings in a hired gunman to help settle the score in a range war, but the gunman brings a whole lot of trouble and family history along with him. Trivia: This movie was shot back to back with High Lonesome on the same location with many of the same actors and crew. Director George Templeton was nominated for two Best Short Film Oscars in 1945 and 1946. He played football at the University of Southern California, where he was on the Freshman team with John Wayne.
